Not one to spend a lot of time talking about his extensive musical performance background; as Jamie ‘White Lightin' Hopkins says, “ I have been playing and teaching music for a LONG time in the Baltimore area.”

He has recorded with several well-known local bands and has another project - The Grapefruit Kings - that plays every 1st Sunday, every month, and every year at the World-Famous Cat’s Eye Pub in Fells Point in Baltimore. Jamie also was a former CD/Vinyl store owner, and is a walking encyclopedia catalog of artists, CDs, and songs he knows and plays.
