Candyman

Dave Yanuk

Bass / Vocals

Dave has been a part the Maryland music seen for decades. During this time, he has obtained expertise in many different musical styles from R&B to Progressive Rock to Jazz and more. He was a part of local bands Exit, Blessed, Rock Island Express and also included regular guest/fill-in appearances. His music education didn't  stop with his extensive experience as he is also an alumnus of The Berklee College of Music in Boston. The highlight of his career is his tenure with internationally renowned jazz vocalist, Ethel Ennis. He appeared with her at the Kool Jazz festival in 1980 which was a who's-who of jazz artists and included an opening set for The Dave Brubeck Quartet. Additional gigs with Ethel included her long-standing residence at the King of France Tavern in Annapolis.

Current projects and collaborations include fill-ins with The Josh Christina Band and his current project The Second Wind Trio, which, along with Candyman & The Baltimore Show, accomplishes Dave's underlying philosophy and belief that music played well, regardless of genre, will be accepted and enjoyed by a wide range of audiences.
